Senior Megan Rossilli adds “I love sharing what the band has worked on before the competition season starts.”

The Jazz Band's Dinner Dance was started to highlight the talented student musicians and to serve as a fundraiser for the Band Boosters. It continues to be a huge success, with over 200 people attending each year.

Ariana Sowa, an LHS junior, shared her thoughts on the event: “The Dinner Dance is a magical night of music and as a performer it is the coolest night to play and give the community a taste of Livingston High School’s Jazz.”

Daniel Siegal, an LHS sophomore, adds “It’s incredible to play with people who really have a passion for what they do. Each song has its own unique style.”

Proceeds from the evening are used to help buy equipment for all the LHS bands (jazz bands, concert bands, marching band) and provide scholarships to graduating seniors.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.lhsbandboosters.org or at the door the night of the show. Ticket prices are $20 for adults ($25 if purchased after Feb. 14), $15 for students/senior citizens and $5 for children under 12.
