Dog Helps Foil 1 Of 3 Home Burglary Attempts in Livingston
There were three home burglary attempts in Livingston a week ago. In one of them, the homeowner was alerted by a dog.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Police in Livingston responded to three home burglary attempts on the same street a little over a week ago. Here are the details:
On Friday, April 28, Livingston officers responded to a Country Club Court residence around 9:40 p.m. on a report of a burglary. The homeowner told police that she she heard her dog barking, and then someone kicked in her front door. The suspect fled when they observed the homeowner was home, police said. The Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating.
The next day, Saturday, April 29, at 3:28 p.m., police responded to a home on the same street. The homeowner had returned to find that the rear door had been forced open and the house ransacked. The person is compiling a list of stolen items. The Detective Bureau is investigating.

And at 4 p.m. that day, officers responded to a home on the same street. In that case, a screen had been torn off a basement window, but the intruder did not get in. Detectives are investigating.
