Featured Speaker: Andrea Carbine, co- owner of A Toute Heure and Jack’s Run Garden Topic: "Finding Your Inner Locavore" Better understanding the "locavore" movement and how to dig in through plate and practice in your daily life! A locavore is someone one who is committed to eating food that is grown or produced within their local community or region. Ms. Carbine, co- owner of A Toute Heure and Jack’s Run Garden has been credited with helping renew the "garden state’s" interest in fresh, locally-sourced food. Through her work at the bistro, and in the 4,000 square foot gardens of Jack’s Run, Ms. Carbine’s belief that "great communities are built on great food" is realized. Today, Ms. Carbine serves as farmer-in-training at Jack’s Run, keeps ATH running, and works to encourage fresh food in communities everywhere.
