Livingston was among just 4 percent of districts across the nation to earn the award in 2017.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — If you’re a music lover with a child in the Livingston Public School system, your young artist has a leg up on their peers, according to school officials. The district was recently named among the “best communities for music education” by the NAMM Foundation.

Livingston was among just 4 percent of districts across the nation to earn the award in 2017, school administrators said.

According to administrators, the NAMM’s “Best Communities Music Education” designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students.
