WATCH: Livingston High's Epic Lip Dub Video Features 1,800 Students
The student-led video took about 21 weeks of planning and was shot in a single take at Livingston High School.
Livingston, NJ – A student-led video starring the 1,800 students of Livingston High School is going viral on YouTube.
The video – “Livingston High School Lip Dub 2016” – shows a “new kid” around his new school and features cheerleaders, marching band members, academic stars and sports teams, all dancing and lip syncing to a High School Musical-esque musical medley.
The massive effort took about 21 weeks of planning and was shot in a single take at Livingston High School on March 4, according to a school news release.

Juniors Jenna Weiss and Abby Hauptman are credited as the initial creators of the video, which features Zachary Minion as the “new kid,” teachers Amy Roter and Charles Raphael as his parents, Principal Mark Stern as himself and the entire LHS student body.

The video was completely produced, written and directed by a group of students in the high school’s television program, overseen by teacher and producer Jason Daily.
The crew included Molly Greenstone, Justin Stevens, Ethan Ramer, Daniel Berger, Ronan Tattersall, Emily Waldenberg, Lauren Critelli, Sam Sternstein, Lindsay Kantor, Daniella Terry, Emma Giulianti, and Jayne Winner.
Ethan Ramer and Adia Dauti also assisted with script writing. Frank Sheehan was the camera operator.
“We wanted to lift the spirits of our school and promote the amazing programs Livingston High School has to offer,” said Abby Hauptman and Jenna Weiss in a joint statement.
