Livingston Fire Report: Stuck In Elevator / Power Outage / Insecticide / CO Alarm

Tuesday, October 20th – 2 Calls
6 Winston Dr. - Reported smoke odor in the residence, entire residence checked & nothing found. Odor possibly from exterior, homeowner advised & satisfied.

94 Old Short Hills Rd. - Fire alarm transmission, FD cancelled prior to dept. arrival.
Wednesday, October 21st – 5 Calls

Walnut Street - Report of power outage in area, found a fuse blown on utility pole. JCP&L was notified & responding.
3 Chelsea Dr. - Fire alarm transmission, activation as result of smoke from driveway that was being paved. System was reset.
14 Royal Ave. - Homeowner’s smoke detector was activated at bottom of 1st floor stairwell. Activation was due to homeowner spraying insecticide in closet near detector. Detector was removed at homeowner’s request.
343 E. Cedar St. - Fire alarm transmission, Alarm Company was servicing system & central station did not hold signal.
277 Eisenhower Pkwy. - Fire alarm transmission, system activated due to power outage. Mgr. on scene, & no problem. Mgr. reset system prior to arrival.
Thursday, October 22nd – 4 Calls
4 Bearbrook Ct. - Fire alarm transmission, system activated due to testing. No problem.
51 Old Rd. - Fire alarm transmission, system activated due to power outage in area, system was reset prior to dept. arrival.
277 Eisenhower Pkwy. - Fire alarm transmission, System activated due to power outage in area. System reset prior to arrival.
290 W. Mt. Pleasant Ave. - Fire alarm transmission, system activated due to power outage in area. Eastman Mgmt. on scene & system was reset.
Friday, October 23rd – 4 Calls
21 Rossmore Terr. - Dispatched as a CO alarm, upon arrival found activated smoke detector on 1st floor with an audible on 2nd floor bedroom at the keypad. Alarm disconnected at homeowners request. PSE&G on scene & no readings of CO found in residence. Homeowner satisfied.
Horizon School - Fire alarm transmission, transmission activated as result of bathroom being sprayed. No problem.
53 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave. - Fire alarm transmission, system activated due to power outage to bldg. Verizon mgmt. on scene & addressing issue, system not reset.
2206 Murray Ct. - Gas odor on 2nd floor, odor was as result of knob for gas stove left in on position in apartment. Gas was shut off & resid. was vented.
Saturday, October 24th – 5 Calls
315 E. Northfield Rd. - Report of someone stuck in elevator, found elevator car was stuck on ground floor. Power was shut off to unit & occupant was removed.
14 Crestview Hill Rd. - CO alarm transmission, found 41ppm of CO in residence. PSE&G was notified & responding to residence.
182 Passaic Ave. - Fire alarm transmission, transmission was set off in error.
17 Hickory Dr. - Fire alarm transmission, homeowner working on detector. No problem
152 Walnut St. - Fire alarm transmission, smoke detector malfunctioned & removed.
Sunday, October 25th – 2 Calls
195 W. Mt. Pleasant Ave. - Fire alarm transmission, activation as result of smoke from cooking on a hot plate. Alarm was reset.
195 W. Mt. Pleasant Ave. - Fire alarm transmission, found faulty detector & Alarm Co. to be notified.
Monday, October 26th – 2 Calls
5 Chadwick Rd. - Fire alarm transmission, dept. cancelled prior to arrival.
Care One - Fire & water flow transmission, found broken sprinkler pipe in attic. System was shut down & Manager advised.
