Livingston High Flooded: LFD Sees Multiple Weekend Calls Due To Hurricane Joaquin

See what kinds of rain and storm-related calls the Livingston Fire Department responded to this weekend.

While Livingston was spared the bulk of Hurricane Joaquin’s wrath, the stormy weather and rainy conditions created several issues for local emergency responders.

The Livingston Fire Department reported that firefighters responded to multiple weather-related calls in the township over the weekend:

  • On Oct. 2, firefighters and Livingston police removed a downed tree from Mt. Pleasant Avenue.
  • On Oct. 2, firefighters responded to a downed tree with power wires in the road on Trinity Drive.
  • On Oct. 3, firefighters responded to a fire alarm transmission on Mountain Ridge Drive due to water leaking into a detector from the rain.
  • On Oct. 3, firefighters placed three pumps into service after the boiler room of Livingston High School was flooded.
