Livingston High Students Spearhead ‘NJ Visionaries Film Festival’

LIVINGSTON, NJ — UPDATE: According to a March 20 update from organizers, the event is now scheduled for June 9, 2018, at Caldwell Bow Tie Cinemas Theater. In addition, submissions are due on May 1 rather than April 1. Our original article follows below.
A pair of Livingston High School students are spearheading New Jersey's newest film fest, the “NJ Visionaries Film Festival,” an event slated to take place in “late May or early June” in the theater of Livingston High School.
According to Kush Dhungana, a 17-year-old senior at Livingston High School, the goal of the festival is to promote and ecourage young filmmakers.

Dhungana and co-founder, Noah Levine, said that the festival is accepting films from any New Jersey resident 18 and under until April 1, 2018. Each entrant will get personalized feedback on their film from the festival's various panelists.
"There are so many talented young artists in film across the state," Dhungana said. "We just aim to do whatever we can to represent them."
