Livingston Plastics Manufacturer Announces $15 Million Expansion of Stretch Film Production Capacity

The expansions will take place in Arizona and North Carolina.

Livingston-based plastics manufacturer Inteplast Group has announced that its AmTopp Stretch Film Division will be adding $15 million worth of new manufacturing capacity – including two “state-of-the-art” cast extrusion lines – which will be fully operational by the end of 2015.

The expansion will add an additional 60 million pounds of capacity and increase the overall AmTopp’s capacity to 320 million pounds, according to a release.

AmTopp currently has four stretch film manufacturing locations. With this additional capacity, Inteplast will be able to better utilize its facility in Charlotte, North Carolina as well as the newly acquired Phoenix, Arizona facility. The first extrusion line, scheduled for Charlotte, will be fully operational by the fourth quarter of 2015. In addition to providing an increased production base for AmTopp films, it will support specifically the dramatic growth of the popular “APEX” series of films.
