Livingston Police Reports: 2 Take Taxi To Hotel Without Paying; Car Thefts
Livingston saw several reports of car thefts, and a report of a theft of services after two people took a taxi without paying, police said.
LIVINGSTON, NJ — The Livingston police reported several car burglaries and car thefts in the past week, as well as a theft of services report.
Police said that on Thursday, May 12, at 5:55 p.m., Livingston officers responded to the Westminster Hotel on a report of dispute over an unpaid taxi fare.
Police arrested a 23-year-old East Orange man and a 23-year-old East Orange woman. "Both suspects were found hiding in a bathroom inside the hotel and were arrested for not paying the taxi fare for the ride from East Orange to the Westminster Hotel," police said.

Both were charged with theft of services and released on a summons.
