Livingston Primary Election Results: Get Tuesday's Numbers Here

Primary races for Livingston council are uncontested, but political observers like to watch the numbers. Check here for vote totals.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — The polls closed at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Livingston's local races and the 11th District congressional race.

In Livingston, three of five seats on the Livingston Township Council are up for election this year. Tuesday's primary races in Livingston were uncontested. Three Democrats and three Republicans filed to run. All of those who filed will get the party nomination to face off in November.

Below are the preliminary vote totals for candidates who filed to run for the three Township Council seats in each party. Remember that some ballots were only mailed in on Tuesday, so they still must be counted.

Democrats (as of 10:30 PM Tuesday):
Shawn Klein: 1,367
Ed Meinhardt: 1,361
Rosy Bagolie: 1,334

In Livingston's form of government, the council members will choose a mayor from among themselves.

The general election will be held Nov. 8.
