Livingston Restaurant Owners Trade Punches

The two men duked it out over a business dispute, police say.

Police arrested one of the two owners of Soy and Ginger Wok Grill in Livingston on Sunday, after a fistfight between the left one of the men lying on the ground.

According to TAP Into, Livingston police stated that the fight happened around 8 p.m., when Qi Xiong Chen, 38, of Roseland, and his partner, Ziao Zheng, 45, of Roseland, got into a business-related argument.

At that point, Chen struck Zheng, knocking him to the ground.

After police arrived on the scene, emergency responders transported Zheng to St. Barnabas Medical Center for treatment. Zheng was released from the hospital that evening.

Police arrested Chen and charged him with assault. He was released pending a municipal court date.
