NEW JERSEY — Rapper Fetty Wap was arrested in New Jersey on Monday morning for allegedly violating the conditions of his pre-trial release, and will now remain in jail, news outlets reported.

The Paterson native, born William Junior Maxwell II, allegedly threatened to kill someone during a Facebook call in December of 2021, according to an affadavit filed in United States District Court, Eastern District.

The affadavit says that according to a video obtained by the FBI, the rapper pointed a gun at someone during the Dec. 11 call, and told the man, "Imma kill you and everybody you with."

The affadavit was submitted by prosecutors as part of a court motion to revoke bail.

Since the rapper was awaiting a trial on drug-related charges from 2021 at the time he committed the act, he has now had his bail revoked and will remain in jail.
