Police: Two Vehicle Thefts in Livingston
Livingston Police have reported a pair of car thefts in the township while owners left them to warm up.

Livingston Police have reported a pair of car thefts while owners of the vehicles left them to warm up this past week.
The vehicles were stolen from residential driveways while their owners left them to warm up during the bitter cold that struck the region last week, Livingston Police said in a Facebook post. The thefts occurred on Jan. 6 on Washington Court and on Jan. 9 on Glendale Avenue. Both thefts occurred at 7:45 a.m.
The vehicles stolen were a BMW 7 Series and a Land Rover, police said.

Police have warned residents to be careful and alert when warming up cars in the morning. They suggest, if possible, removing the key fob and locking the vehicle’s doors. If residents must use a key, lock the car and use a spare key to reenter the car.
