Primary Election Tuesday: Who's On Livingston Ballot, Where To Vote
Several Livingston offices and the 11th District congressional seat are up for election this year.
LIVINGSTON, NJ — New Jersey's Primary Election Day is this Tuesday, June 7. In primary races, residents who are members of a political party can choose nominees from their party who will then face the opposition in November.
Some candidates are running unopposed in the June primaries, but supporters may still want to show support for them at the polls.
In Livingston, three of five seats on the Livingston Township Council are up for election this year. Candidates were required to file for the primaries for those seats in April. Three Democrats and three Republicans filed to run in the June 7 primaries. Since there are three seats, all of those who filed will get the party nomination to face off in November. However, voters may still go to the ballot this Tuesday to show support.
