Report: Authorities Have Identified The Comcast Employee Found Dead In Essex County

Authorities have identified the Comcast employee, who they say appears to have been killed in a work-related incident last week.

Michael Alfaro, 31, of Carteret, N.J., was found dead Thursday, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office told NJ.com.

He was found dead near 30 Appleton Road in Glen Ridge, according to a news release from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.

PSE&G workers sent to that area to search for the cause a blown fuse, tried to rescue him, after they found him, unresponsive, on a ladder, leaning against the utility pole, NJ.com reported.

Glen Ridge police, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force and the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration are handling the investigation.
