N.J. Teen Allegedly Behind Livingston Threats Arrested: Prosecutor
The Hackensack teen is accused of posting messages on social media that threatened acts of violence in Livingston, prosecutors say.

LIVINGSTON, NJ – Authorities have arrested an 18-year-old Hackensack resident in connection with multiple alleged threats in Livingston earlier this month.
John Coulouris, 18, has been charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child by distributing child pornography, invasion of privacy, terroristic threats and two counts of cyber harassment, according to a joint statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Livingston Police Department.
Detectives from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office arrested Coulouris on Monday night, prosecutors said.

Coulouris is accused of posting messages on various social media platforms beginning “on or about Sept. 6” and threatening violent acts in Livingston which were never carried out, prosecutors said.
“The matter came to the attention of the Livingston Police Department when concerned citizens reported the postings on various social media networks,” prosecutors stated.

Reports previously stated that a person wrote they planned to “shoot up” Livingston High School on a Facebook post and that it would be "judgment day for anyone who attempts to stop the violence."

Livingston school officials cancelled the district’s first Back to School Night of 2016 at LHS after a second threat was reportedly made.

Coulouris faces 5 to 10 years in New Jersey State Prison if found guilty of the charges, prosecutors said.
He is currently being held at the Essex County Correctional Facility. His bail was set at $175,000 with no 10 percent option.
