Attempted Murder Charge In Shooting At West Long Branch QuickChek
A Long Branch man was indicted Wednesday in connection with the Oct. 10 shooting outside the West Long Branch QuickChek:

LONG BRANCH, NJ — A Long Branch man was indicted Wednesday in connection with the Oct. 10 shooting outside the West Long Branch QuickChek, announced Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago.
Police say Donte Gibson, 27, of Long Branch, fired a gun at a man outside the convenience store on Broadway at 9:45 p.m. on that date.
The man was grazed by bullets on his hip and forearm, and was treated and released at a nearby hospital.

Gibson was indicted this week on charges of first-degree attempted murder, plus weapons offenses.
This was the day there were three different shootings in Long Branch/West Long Branch all in the same day: Someone fired a gun at two private homes in Long Branch and then fired a gun at a man outside the QuickChek.

The shooting spree started at 2:45 p.m. that day, and took place over the next nine hours. All three shootings are believed to be connected, said Prosecutor Santiago.
