NJ Connect for Recovery was established by the Mental Health Association in New Jersey as a free, confidential call line focused on helping individuals and families coping with substance use disorders achieve recovery. Calling (855) 652-3737 connects callers immediately with Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors, highly-trained Peer Specialists and Public and Private Insurance Specialists to get callers the help they need.

"We find that family members of individuals dealing with substance use disorders are often the ones to reach out to our call line because they don't know where else to turn," said Anne Lopez, Director of Community Education and Outreach for the Mental Health Association in New Jersey. "We recognize that a substance use disorder affects not just the individual, but the entire family, which is why we've expanded our resources to include free education workshops for family members. It's important to equip these families with as many skills and resources as we can to help them navigate treatment and recovery, while providing a safe environment for education and learning new evidence-based strategies for addressing substance use disorders and recovery with a loved one."
