Long Branch Concordance Family Success Center's Back to School Health Fair provides free, new backpacks, school supplies, health screenings

The Long Branch Concordance Family Success Center announces its 8th Annual Back to School Health Fair on August 11, 2016 from 10 am-1 pm.  This free event is at the Center's location at St. James' Church, 300 Broadway, Long Branch New Jersey.  Over 300 new backpacks filled with grade appropriate school supplies will be distributed to greater Long Branch children while Monmouth County service providers offer information and free health screenings.

"We are thrilled that our wonderful community partners have come together to sponsor this event with us," stated Lisa Wilson, Executive Director of the Long branch Concordance. "Parents need a variety of support and resources as their children head back to school, ranging from health information and free screenings to pencils, notebooks, and backpacks. By partnering with these fabulous community health partners, we are able to offer them one-stop resources to help the transition to school go a little more smoothly."

Donations are needed to fill over 300 backpacks with school supplies.  Help local children begin the school year prepared for success.  Corporations, local organizations, civic groups, and individuals are asked to donate new school supplies for all grades as well as cases of bottled water and packaged snacks.
