• Amerigo Vespucci Society Raises Italian Flag in Long Branch to Celebrate Italian American Heritage (thelinknews.net) — Residents and local officials recently gathered at Long Branch City Hall for the annual Italian flag raising, honoring generations of Italian American families who helped shape the city. The Amerigo Vespucci Society, founded in Long Branch in 1875, was recognized for more than 150 years of service, and the celebration continued at a local Italian restaurant with food, fellowship, and tributes to community heritage.
   

• Chuck Berry, Sgt. Pepper, Monterey Pop part of Springsteen Center future (northjersey.com) — Long Branch residents now have a major new cultural destination: the Bruce Springsteen Center for American Music at Monmouth University, open most days with ticketed admission and school-group support. The center is hosting a Chuck Berry symposium this Saturday, plus frequent talks, films, and performances, alongside immersive exhibits, archives, and a popular merch shop drawing music fans from around the world to Long Branch.
