9 WMC Students Commended in National Merit Scholarship Program

Pupils among top 5-percent of finishers in annual competition.

Nine of West Morris Central’s students can hold their heads even higher today after receiving commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

Commended students make up the top 5-percent of the 1.5 million students who entered the 2015 competition, according to the school. A total of 34,000 entries received commendation status.

Students qualified for the program by taking the 2013 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
