Amazon Opens Morris County Delivery Station—Creating 250 Jobs

BUDD LAKE, NJ - A new Amazon delivery station has opened in Mt. Olive and some employees honored the occasion with a day of service.
In celebration of the Budd Lake station launch, Amazon associates participated in a beautification projects at Schooley’s Mountain County Park, and established a partnership with a donation at Mount Olive Food Pantry, officials said.
The Budd Lake officially opens for business this week and welcome new associates inside the 130,000 square-foot building to celebrate its Day One of operation. The delivery station at 81 International Drive South will create more than 250 full-time and part-time associate jobs, all paying at least $15 per hour, in addition to hundreds of driver opportunities for Amazon’s Delivery Service Partners and Amazon Flex drivers.

For his part, Mt. Olive Mayor Rob Greenbaum said he was happy to have the building filled and happy to have them in town.
"Hope they intend on participating as a corporate community member in our events and for our residents," he told Patch. "It is my further hope that the residents of Mount Olive will benefit through further job opportunities."

A spokesperson for Amazon said delivery stations power the last mile of the order process and help speed up deliveries for customers. Packages are shipped to a delivery station from neighboring Amazon Fulfillment and Sortation Centers, loaded into delivery vehicles and delivered to customers.
