Board OKs $5,400 in Bonuses for Washington Twp. School Administrators
One goal for schools chief, two goals for assistant approved at monthly meeting.

Three separate goals were attained for the 2014-15 school year by the Washington Township Schools Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent leading to monetary payouts at a school board meeting this week.
Superintendent Jeff Mohre achieved one of his Qualitative Goals set last summer by the board, which states:
“To engage in a review and revision of the District’s special education and related services web site, inclusive of new informational features for parents, children, and faculty.”

By meeting the goal, Mohre received a 2.5-percent payout of his annual salary of $157,500, for a total bonus of $3,937.50.
Assistant Superintendent Rick Papera achieved two separate goals, each coming with a merit pay of 0.522-percent.

Goal number one for Papera stated:
“Investigate, design, and plan for model/lab classrooms at different instructional levels as an avenue to further improve instructional practices and effectiveness incorporating 21st century learning tools and skills, as well as job embedded ongoing professional development.”
The second goal stated:
“Investigate, design, and plan for the use of interactive technology to enhance the teaching and learning of early literacy.”
Papera’s annual salary for the 2014-15 school year was $142,882. The total payout of his two bonuses comes to $1,502.12.
The totally payout of bonuses approved at Tuesday’s meeting was $5,439.62.
