Last weekend the West Morris Central boys’ tennis team competed at the 2013 Morris County Tennis Tournament (MCT). All three WMC single players were seeded at this year’s MCT.  Patel, the No. 1 singles player was seeded 4th, Chugh, the No. 2 singles player, 11th, and Raza, the No. 3 singles player, 8th.

Patel, true to the seeding order, reached the semifinal round before being defeated by Boyle of Delbarton who went on to win the championship. Raza was defeated in the quarterfinal round by Goldstein of Montville who reached the final for third singles.

Since the start of the season on April 2, the Wolfpack’s overall record so far has been 7-5. However, since mid-April, the Wolfpack has gone 5-1 with the only loss being to Delbarton, this year’s MCT champion.

Unfortunately for the Wolfpack, their three best players are also seniors. For next year, it will be up to the remaining varsity and JV members to fill that void.
