Long List of Honors for Local Wrestlers
WMC and Long Valley rec wrestling teams reached new heights, making 2012-13 a season to remember.
WMC and Long Valley Rec Programs Reach New Heights
2012-13 will be a season to remember for both the West Morris Central High School Wrestling team, and its extraordinary “farm system,” the Long Valley Youth Wrestling Program. This year’s individual and team honors are too many to remember, let alone describe.
But we will attempt to capture most in this list. It ranges from WMC’s first-ever 18 win season, Nick Matthews’ place on the Atlantic City Podium, four WMC wresters topping the career win list, Ken Rossi’s Coach of the Year award, to Ryan Karoly’s sixth NJ Boys’ State Championship, and the Northwest team’s third straight title.
Here goes, in no special order. Please let us know in the comments what I missed!
