Join us as we participate in AMC’s 150th anniversary relay event. This event invites hikers, paddlers, cyclists, and outdoor enthusiasts to join a remarkable journey. Stretching from Virginia to Maine, the route winds through iconic landscapes, with stops for city celebrations and gatherings at AMC destinations in honor of 150 years of outdoor connection. Our group will “carry the flag” from Byram Township NJ to Long Valley NJ.

Join us at the library for a fun "Family Feud" themed activity with Marissa from Peace Aging Care in Flanders, NJ.&nbsp; Marissa will group participants into teams for a friendly family feud style trivia contest.&nbsp; 
The Peace Aging Care Center was founded in 2006 to aid seniors and their families in successfully navigating crisis situations, plan for future care needs, and enjoy life!&nbsp; They provide expert guidance in the often confusing realm of senior care.&nbsp;

Open the dictionary to the word “iconoclast,” and you will see a picture of Marcel Duchamp. He challenged the standards and beliefs of the art world and ushered in a new era of creative license—the reverberations of which are still felt in contemporary art today. 
Duchamp’s imagination was aroused by elements of Cubism, Surrealism, and even Pop Art, but his resourcefulness meant continuous self-reinvention and deliberate inconsistency. He once said, “I have forced myself to contradict myself in order to avoid conforming to my own taste.” Come and learn about his innovative works and the shockwaves they produced. A blockbuster Duchamp retrospective opens at the Museum of Modern Art on April 12, 2026.

Sensory Nature Walk: A Guided Grounding Experience Location: Schooley’s Mountain Park, parking by the pavilion

Join us for a gentle, guided nature walk through the scenic trails of Schooley’s Mountain Park, exploring open fields, wooded pathways, and the waterfall area. This approximately 2-mile walk blends light movement with sensory awareness and guided reflection to support mindful presence, nervous system regulation, and a deeper connection with the natural environment.
Along the route, participants will be invited to intentionally engage the five senses — noticing sounds, textures, scents, colors, and the feeling of the body in motion. Short guided pauses will offer space for breathing, quiet observation, and simple reflection, helping participants slow down, ground, and reconnect with the present moment. There is no pressure to share or perform; the experience is focused on personal awareness and gentle connection.
This walk is suitable for a&nbsp;Fitness Level 2&nbsp;and requires no prior hiking experience. The pace will be steady and accessible, with time to rest, observe, and enjoy the surroundings. Participants should wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear, and are encouraged to bring water and a snack if desired.
