Pet Therapy Prep Class

Does your well-mannered dog love strangers? Do you like to volunteer your time and make people smile? Do you want to share your love for dogs and your dog’s love with like-minded people who don’t have that opportunity? Then you are a Pet Therapy Dog team in the making.Don’t know where to start? The Pet Therapy Prep Class will help you prepare to become a certified therapy dog team. In this 6-week course, you will review behaviors that will help move your dog forward in their therapy dog training.

PRE-REQUISITE for this course is completion of the Basic class. Your dog should have a reliable sit, down, stay, recall and loose leash walking skills, in the presence of other dogs and people.

Dogs should be at least 10 months of age at the start of the class. Rescue dogs should be with their owners at least 6 months. P
