Event Details
If you're a fan of Jeopardy! or simply enjoy a good trivia challenge, come test your knowledge of Washington Township and American history during this fun, interactive America250 event! Sign up for this event here.
Hosted by Bill Blaskopf, this audience-participation game features a Jeopardy-style board with seven categories covering local history and life in America around 1776. Each category contains questions worth 10 to 50 points, ranging from easy to more challenging.
Here's how it works:
• One participant is selected to choose a category and point value.
• Bill reads the question, and the participant has up to one minute to answer.
• Unlike traditional Jeopardy!, answers do not need to be in the form of a question.
• While the participant is answering, everyone else records their own answer on the provided Jeopardy scorecard.
• If the selected participant misses the question, anyone in the audience may offer their answer.
• Players keep track of their own scores throughout the game to see who earns the highest total by the end.
• Final winner of the Jeopardy game will receive two tickets to the WTHS 1776 fund raiser on Saturday, September 19. Details are available for this special event are here. Bragging rights are awarded to the winner also!
No extensive knowledge of local or American history is required. Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply looking for an entertaining afternoon, you'll enjoy learning interesting facts while competing with friends and neighbors.
