Washington Township's Brendan Stokes, a West Morris Central graduate, has made the Dean's List at Sacred Heart University for the 2012 fall semester, according to a press release from the school. In order to achieve Dean's List, a student must obtain a 3.6 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) for the entire semester at Sacred Heart. In January 2011, Stokes completed his 13-year ascent through the Scouts, earning his Eagle Scout Award by building a fire pedestal at St. Mark's Church. Sacred Heart University is an independent Catholic university with an enrollment of more than 6,000 students among its four campuses.
