The Run for the River Event is an annual fundraiser for the Musconetcong Watershed Association (MWA). The Musconetcong River was recently added to the National Wild and Scenic River System. Funds generated by the Annual Run for the River Event will fund the organization’s work to protect the river and its watershed through education and outreach programs to local schools, landowners and municipal officials. MWA is a non-profit organization formed by residents of the Musconetcong River valley in 1991.
