Preparing for Fall and Winter with Herbs and Nutrition on

This is an informal presentation/discussion about ways to stay healthy through the cold weather with a focus on the foods and herbs that have been used traditionally throughout the northern climate.   As the weather changes, many feel that colds or flu or other ailments that affect us during the colder weather are inevitable, but herbalist/nutrition consultant, Jan Keyes, will present ideas that may help you and your family this season.  Prepare yourself and your family for optimal health this fall.

Jan Keyes, a herbalist from Califon. years of experience and training have brought together unique skills and knowledge. She spent 20 years teaching as a corporate instructor. Her interest in a natural approach began as
an entrepreneur at Crossroads, a Native American arts and crafts business where she taught about crafts, history culture and the importance of being in balance with the natural world. She completed a two-year medical herbal studies course and an advanced post graduate program at the Herbal Therapeutics School of Botanical medicine. She received certification in Clinical Nutrition from the Natural Healing Institute of Naturopathy and attended Annemarie Colbin's Natural Gourmet Cookery School in New York
