Fencing Season Starts This Week At West Morris Central High School
Both girls and boys fencing returns this Thursday.
LONG VALLEY, NJ— Fencing returns to West Morris Central High School this Thursday with a home match against Morris Catholic High School.
The Dec. 22 match will also be the teams' Senior Recognition Night.
The boys team has two returning seniors, coached by Jay Manzella. A three year varsity starter Captain Zach Mange is the most experienced on the team. He fences sabre.

Sophomore Nate Mange returns for his second season on varsity. As a freshman he qualified for the State Individual Tournament, and finished 14th in the state.
Junior Christian Garcia qualified for the NJ State foil squad last season, and Christopher Infinito qualified for the state tournament as part of the epee squad.

The girls team has three returning seniors this year, coached by Gladys Berardi.
Senior Captain Katherine Santsevich is a three-year varsity starter and was named to the Second Team of the NJ Girl’s All State Fencing Team for epee last season.
Senior Devon Howell will lead the foil squad as captain, and Junior Liza Meier is captain of the cabre squad.
