Former Roxbury Assistant Principal Groped Teen, Indictment Says
The former Roxbury assistant principal and Clifton police officer is accused of sexually touching a 15-year-old girl he was staying with.

ROXBURY, NJ— A former assistant principal from Roxbury High School was indicted on charges that he sexually touched a teenager while living part time at the girl's home, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp announced on Thursday.
Roger Schneider, 57, of Rockaway, was indicted on one count of endangering the welfare of a child (a second degree crime), two counts of aggravated criminal sexual contact (third degree crimes) and two counts of criminal sexual contact (fourth degree crimes).
After his arrest, Schneider, a former Clifton police officer, was placed on administrative leave by the Roxbury School District, and resigned from his position on the Morris Hills Regional Board of Education.

The teenager involved was not a student at Roxbury High School, Knapp said at the time of the arrest. Schneider was acting in loco parentis, or having legal responsibility for a child, while he was living in the teen's family home part time.
This is the second indictment in this case. According to the defense, the previous indictment faced legal and technical issues. Knapp said this new indictment makes that argument "moot."
