Fuchs, Lyden, Parisi and Bohr win Roxbury JV Tournament wrestling championships
Borgia brings home silver, Apostolico and Apgar bronze at highly competitive JV event
(December 29, 2016, Roxbury High School) “The Junior Varsity level guys had a great showing today at the Roxbury JV Tournament,” said West Morris Central High School wrestling coach Ken Rossi.
Robby Bohr, Zach Fuchs, Jack Lyden and Chris Parisi took home gold for the Wolfpack wrestling team at the highly competitive tournament.
Matt Borgia won silver, and both Billy Apostolico and Grayson Apgar bronze.

Medals are not easy to come by at this tournament, which usually includes more than 10 schools, and dozens of wrestlers with varsity experience.
“Bohr, Parisi, Lyden, and Fuchs had great performances to win their weight classes,” according to Rossi.

“Robby had three pins and has shown great promise so far this season at the JV level and in the varsity line up.”
Bohr is clearly ready for the next level. He placed fifth at the prestigious XCalibur varsity tournament earlier in the year. Lyden and Apostolico are as well, already having won varsity letters last season.
Roxbury JV History: An Upward Trend
Roxbury JV medal winners often rise to the next level, and the Wolfpack’s stellar showing is part of an upward trend. The team won three Roxbury JV championships in each of the last two years, and just one each the two years before that.
Last year, AJ Hill, Parisi, Louis Mautone and John DeVito won championships. Hill went on to start varsity shortly thereafter, and had an excellent freshman season. DeVito is excelling in a varsity role this year.
In 2014, then freshmen Mike Caso and John Vazquez took gold, along with Ben Piraneo. Caso and Vazquez both started the next year, and continue to start. Piraneo lettered the same year.
In 2013, only Noah Yaskulka won gold, cracked the starting varsity lineup before the end of the year, and lettered again the following year. In 2012, Ben Yaskulka was the Pack’s only champ, and lettered the next year.
