Garden Club Hosts Presentation at Library

Community organization shares fall gardening tips.

Members of the Garden Club of Long Valley recently gave a presentation at the Washington Township Library.

The Garden Club of Long Valley is committed to giving back to the community by sharing gardening knowledge and passion with gardeners of all ages. Earlier this fail, Terry Holman, member of the GCLV’s Community Education Committee, presented two gardening programs at the .

The first was a program on "Fabulous Fall Bulbs", which included a presentation of different flowering bulbs that can be planted in the fall and techniques for bulb planting and ongoing maintenance. The second program was a hands-on demo for the Club’s Junior Garden Club members, the Sprouts. The Sprouts learned about propagating and overwintering begonia plants and also made fresh pumpkin arrangements using flowers and materials from their gardens.
