High School Dissolution Study Presentation Set for Tuesday in Mendham Twp.

Feasibility analysis to be further explored in open meeting.

The report took months to complete, was lengthy in its analysis, and may have created more questions and solutions.

And now the public has a chance to hear more and pose their queries to both elected officials and the consulting group that created a feasibility study analyzing a potential dissolution of the West Morris Regional High School District.

The feasibility study that analyzed the option of spinning off Mendham High School into a single, grades 9-12 school district; or joining the high school with the K-8 districts of the Mendhams and Chesters, was published last week.

The analysis showed substantial savings for the Mendhams and Chesters – in the area of millions annually – by going forward with the dissolution, while in turn putting that tax burden back on West Morris Central High School.

The study was conducted by Ross Haber and Associates, LLC, who will give a presentation on the topic Tuesday night at Mendham Township’s municipal building at 7:30 p.m.
