Hotel Fight Turns Into Murder Threat in Washington Twp.: Cops
Police responded to initial report of physical altercation.

A Hackettstown man was arrested and jailed on bail for threatening to murder his neighbor while at a Washington Township hotel Sunday night, Lt. Doug Compton said.
Officer Robert Brobst and Cpl. Brian Bigham responded to a call of a fight at the Park Plaza Motel on Rt. 46 in the township, Compton said. When they arrived, everyone on scene was interviewed and it was determined Robert Kennedy, 51, of Hackettstown, was engaged in an altercation with his neighbors, Compton said.
While police were on scene, Kennedy threatened to kill his neighbor by stabbing him in the neck and shooting him in the head, Compton said.

Kennedy was arrested and issued complaints for terroristic threats, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct. He was lodged in Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 bail with no 10-percent option.
