Icy Roads Force 2-Hour Delay for Washington Twp. Schools

Sunday's snowfall laid a nice base for icy precipitation overnight into Monday, leading to icy and slick roadways in Washington Township.

Because of that, all Washington Township School district buildings – Flocktown-Kossmann, Cucinella, Old Farmers, Long Valley Middle School – will operate on a 2-hour delayed opening schedule Monday, Dec. 9.

West Morris Regional High School District's two schools – West Morris Central and Mendham – also have a 2-hour delay. 

The decision was made shortly after 4 a.m.

This is the first weather-related delay of the 2013-14 school year.
