Long Valley Christmastime Fire Not Suspicious, Police Say
The family was safely evacuated during the early morning fire.

LONG VALLEY, NJ— A fire that broke out in a Long Valley home in the early morning hours of Dec 26 is not suspicious, Washington Township Police said.
Firefighters responded to a Ruth Lane home just before 5 a.m. on Dec 26 to find the attic fully engulfed.
Although the cause is still under investigation, police believe it was electrical, and is not currently being looked at as suspicious.

All occupants of the home were safely evacuated.
Washington Township, Hackettstown, and Mansfield fire companies all assisted in putting the fire out, and the Long Valley First Aid Squad provided medical assistance.

Once police officer was treated and released from Hackettstown Medical Center for smoke inhalation.
