Long Valley Green Market Will Not Be Back For 2018
October 26 will be the last day you can shop the weekly market.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — After seven years of selling local produce and goods to the community, the Long Valley Green Market is closing up shop at the end of this season.
An employee at the Green Market told Patch their Oct. 26 weekly date would be the end of the market, saying, "We think it's run it's course."
They are considering a holiday market, but no plans have been finalized.

The market has seen increased competition in recent years, as farmers markets become more popular and easily accessible across the state. Organic produce from local farms has also become easier to find in grocery stores, and some farms now sell their products at year-long stands on their own property.
The market was founded in 2011 by Long Valley residents Leona Harrington and Kate Munning. It was a 2014 Readers Choice Award winning in Morris and Essex Health & Life Magazine.

You have three more chances to visit the market: Oct. 14, Oct. 21, and Oct. 26. On the markets last day, there will be a jack-o-lantern contest between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., with judging at 6 p.m.
