LONG VALLEY, NJ — As part of its program to achieve accreditation, the Washington Township Police Department will undergo an on-site assessment to ensure that it adheres to recognized professional best practices.
The accreditation program, which is administered by the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police, requires agencies to comply with best-practice standards in five basic areas: administrative function, personnel function, operations function, investigative function and arrestee/detainee function.
As part of the program, agency employees and the general public are invited to provide feedback on the police department on July 11, between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. by dialing (908)-876-3232, selecting option #1 at the voice prompt, and then entering extension #1341.
