Long Valley Voter's Guide For 2026 Primaries

LONG VALLEY, NJ — A consequential primary election is underway in Washington Township, and early voting has begun.

This year, two candidates are seeking the Republican nomination for a chance on the Washington Township Committee.

Joshua A. Drake and Bryan E. Nesfeder, two political newcomers, are going head-to-head for the nomination. The winner of the vote-for-one election will likely head into the General Election uncontested, as no Democrats have filed a petition at this time.

Where To Vote On Election Day

The Primary Election is on June 2, and Washington Township residents can vote that day in one of eight locations.

• Districts 1 & 2: Fairmount Fire House, Main Room, 12 Parker Rd, Long Valley
• District 11: Hasting Square Pool House, Main Room, 0 Route 24 Hastings Dr, Hackettstown
• District 7: Heath Village Auditorium, 430 Schooley's Mountain Rd, Hackettstown
• District 3: West Morris Central High School 259 Bartley Chester Rd, Chester
• Districts 8, 10 & 13: Senior Citizen's Center, First Floor, 35 East Springtown Rd, Long Valley
• Districts 5 & 12: St. Luke's Church 265 W Mill Rd, Long Valley
• District 5: Valley View Chapel 115 E Mill Rd, Long Valley
• District 6 & 9: Washington Twp Municipal Building, 43 Schooley's Mountain Rd, Long Valley

Polling places will be open on June 2 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Early In-Person Voting

Early in-person voting began on Tuesday and will run until Sunday. Polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. until Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Vote by Mail/Drop Box:

Residents once again have the opportunity to vote by mail in the 2026 Primary Election.

Those who want to vote by mail must have filled out this application no later than seven days before the election.

Those who have already enrolled in the county’s vote-by-mail process may have already received their mail-in ballot, or should receive it in the coming days.

Once the vote-by-mail ballot is filled out, it can be sent or delivered to:
