Man Charged With Vehicular Homicide In Fatal Rt. 80 Crash

The man was reportedly intoxicated at the time of the fatal crash.

MOUNT OLIVE, NJ — A New York man has been charged with reckless vehicular homicide after a fatal crash on Route 80 in Mount Olive left a teenager dead, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp said on Monday.

Chevon Rolle, 20, from Far Rockaway, New York, was charged with vehicular homicide because he was allegedly intoxicated at the time of the early morning Sunday crash, the report said. The passenger, 18-year-old Maneya Green of Harlem, was killed when the car drove off the road, crashed into a tree and overturned.

After the crash, Rolle allegedly lied to police abut the crash details. He also faces charges of obstructing the administration of law, and possession of marijuana.
