Man Sexually Assaulted Young Girl: Mount Olive Police

The man is being held in the Morris County Correctional Facility.

MOUNT OLIVE, NJ— A Flanders man was arrested after police say he sexually assaulted a girl younger than 13.

An unnamed woman tipped Mount Olive Police off about a man she believed was touching a young girl inappropriately.

After an investigation, police arrested Joseph Pakasinski, 34, of Flanders.

Police said Pakasinski touched a young girl inappropriately on "multiple occasions."

He was arrested on Jan. 12 after questioning by Mount Olive Police, and was charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault of a victim less than thirteen, endangering the welfare of children, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia.

Pakasinski is being held in Morris County Correctional Facility pending a court hearing.
