Meetings and Acts of Kindness on Tuesday

Community gatherings highlight day's offerings.

It's Tuesday and we're just 39 shopping days away from Christmas! Don't forget Thanksgiving is next week and Chanukah starts very early this year [First night is Dec. 1]. Excuse us for the random holiday thoughts, but it's that time of year, so let's start getting merry.

And for those of us who have trouble seeing past today, here's what's going on in town.

1.)  Long Valley Patch has previewed this and now the time has come, tonight's meeting will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the . This meeting will be a public forum for residents to voice their opinions about the upcoming school budget process. All are welcome to attend.

2.)  The Washington Township Board of Health is offering a free blood pressure screening from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the at Rock Spring Park. All township residents are invited to participate.

3.)  At 7:30 p.m. is the Planning Board's work session at the . The public is invited to attend and see what the committee is working on and will be decided upon at the next meeting.

5.)  Looking ahead: Tomorrow, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., MOPS [Mothers Of Pre-Schoolers] meets at . The group meets the first and third Wednesday of each month. For more information, contact the group at kidsinc@valleyviewchapel.org.
