Messy Roads Force Schedule Change for Local Schools Wednesday

Rain, rising temperatures expected Wednesday before more snow.

A mixture of snow, sleet, and freezing rain overnight forced the Washington Township and West Morris Regional school district to open two hours later than usual Wednesday.

The decision to have a two-hour delayed opening was made just after 5 a.m. by both districts.

Temperatures are expected to rise Wednesday and rain will fall throughout the day, but anywhere between three and seven inches of snow could fall between Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon.
