The students of House 8-2 at the took a step back in time this week, as they were treated to a presentation by Civil War re-enactors. Members fo the NJ 27th Regiment came to the school and showed students, first-hand, the experiences of the Civil War soldier, including marching, lining up, and drilling.  Held outside, the class was able to take in the tents and gear worn by the outfit, right down to the salt pork the Private had in his bag.  All information and photos provided by Long Valley Middle School.
