Morris County Government: Workforce Development Board Offering Free Excel Business Training

Business owners!  The Morris-Sussex-Warren Workforce Development Board is offering FREE virtual instructor-led Excel Training for employees to help businesses remain competitive and current with updated technology applications.

Here’s how the Program Works

Employers pay the $499-per-person training fee up front and are reimbursed by the Morris-Sussex-Warren WDB with receipt of certificate of completion. An agreement for training reimbursement will be put in place following registration.

There is no limit to the number of employees that you can enroll. 

The Morris-Sussex-Warren WDB is working to advance employee skills and, where desired, their certification in skills to help businesses position themselves for success, keep up to date with technological advances and to be consistently competitive in the challenging global economy.

We are in a technology-dominated world. To be successful, businesses need to be technologically competitive in their industry. Microsoft Excel is perhaps the most important computer software program used in the workplace today. But its usefulness is contingent on the operator.

If employees using Excel don’t have extensive knowledge of the program – if they don’t know the shortcuts and extensions by heart or are aware of the new applications – they are limited.

Microsoft continues to release updates, and a growing number of those updates reflect today’s big data-centric environment.

All classes are virtual, instructor-led and will be very hands-on. Therefore, classes are capped at 15 attendees. Classes fill quickly – Don’t delay!

The WDB receives federal and state funds from the NJ DOL to support the workforce system. Its goal is to combine area employment, training and supportive services and programs into a consumer-based, market-driven system that meets the needs of job seekers and employers.
