Nor'easter Closes All Washington Twp. Schools Wednesday

Storm expected to bring between five and 12 inches of snow to the area.

The Washington Township and West Morris Regional school districts are closed Wednesday, Nov. 26 in an anticipation of an Autumn nor’easter that could wallop the area.

Both districts made the decision early Wednesday morning as the storm began to roll in. The National Weather Service forecasts anywhere between five and 12 inches of snow blanketing the area between daybreak and midnight.

Both school districts were scheduled to operate on an early dismissal schedule Wednesday leading into the four-day Thanksgiving weekend. This is the first of four allotted snow days built-in to each school calendar.
